The short version

Lumen exists because most rooms have exactly one problem: the light you want is never where the socket is. This lamp has no cord at all. Pick it up, carry it from the desk to the bedside to the balcony table, set it down, and tap the top to change the level. It is grown-up lighting that behaves like a phone.

The shade is a mushroom dome spun from brushed champagne aluminium — a warm silver that does not read as chrome or as yellow brass, so it sits in the same room as either. Light is emitted downward and outward through a diffuser ring beneath the dome, so you get a soft pool on the table and a gentle wash on the surface it stands on, without a hotspot or glare in your eyes when you look up.

Underneath is a 4,000 mAh cell and a high-CRI LED set at 2700K — the same colour temperature as a good incandescent bulb, with a CRI above 90 so wood, fabric and skin look the way they should. Three levels cover the range: a low night-light glow that runs about 60 hours, a medium dining level around 20 hours, and a full reading brightness around 9 hours. A full USB-C charge takes under three hours, and it can be used while charging.

It weighs 1.2 kg, which is heavy enough to feel like a real object and light enough to carry one-handed. The base is a weighted disc with a silicone ring, so it does not scratch a table and does not skid when you drag it slightly closer to your book.
