Veil Ambient Light Panel — Frosted Acrylic Disc (20 cm)

An ultra-thin frosted acrylic disc that glows in a soft radial gradient, held on a slim matte black metal stem. Stepless dimming at 2700K, rechargeable, and up to 30 hours of light per charge.

The short version

Veil is not really a lamp — it is a surface that happens to emit light. The panel is a 20 cm disc of frosted acrylic just 8 mm thick, edge-lit so that the glow is brightest at the centre and fades out toward the rim instead of stopping at a hard boundary. On a shelf or a console it reads less like a fixture and more like a lit plane floating a few centimetres off the surface.

The stem is a single matte black metal rod on a flat disc base, deliberately thin so the panel appears unsupported from most angles. At 2700K with a CRI above 90, the light is warm enough to use as the only source in a room at night, and stepless dimming means you can take it from a faint halo to a working glow without stepping through fixed levels.

Like the rest of the zenvuq lighting range, it is cordless. A 2,500 mAh cell gives about 30 hours on a low ambient setting and around 7 hours at full brightness, recharging over USB-C in roughly three hours. Move it from a console to a dining table to a bookshelf; there is no cable to hide and no socket to plan around.

Use it as a night light in a hallway, behind a monitor to soften a dark corner, or as the single warm source in a room where you do not want to turn on the ceiling light. It photographs beautifully, which is also why it ends up in more product shots than we planned for.
